Purposes of data processing

The purpose of the data processing is to carry out the application process. 

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis is derived from the legal relationship that arises in the application or initiation phase of the employment contract relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR; § 26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR).

Recipients or categories of recipients

Your personal data will not be passed on by us to third parties, unless this is necessary to fulfill legal obligations. Disclosure to contract processors (e.g., personnel consultants) as well as to persons obliged to maintain special confidentiality, such as lawyers, may occur in certain circumstances.

Duration of storage

Your data will be stored for the duration of the processing of your application or the pre-contractual legal relationship. In the event of a rejection, your data will be stored for six months after the rejection notice is sent. A six-month retention period is commonly recommended in Germany due to the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). This practice has been confirmed by supervisory authorities based on Art. 17 para. 3 lit. e DSGVO.

Rights of data subjects

The EU General Data Protection Regulation grants the following rights to data subjects.
Right to:

– Information about the storage/processing of your personal data
– Rectification or deletion of your personal data
– Restriction of processing by the controller
– Objection to processing (in particular when processing data for advertising purposes)
– Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the event of unlawful data processing
